The Australian Shakespeare Company proudly presents

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Lysander loves Hermia and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius and Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. Egeus, Hermia’s father, prefers Demetrius as a suitor and enlists the aid of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to enforce his wishes upon his daughter. According to Athenian law, Hermia is given four days to choose between Demetrius, life in a nunnery, or a death sentence. Hermia, ever defiant, chooses to escape with Lysander into the surrounding forest.

This is when complications arise….

This summer Glenn Elston presents an exciting new production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Arrive early, get your spot on the grass, then enjoy a stroll through the gorgeous Royal Botanic Gardens. Unpack your picnic or have gourmet food delivered to you on site as you settle in to watch the sunset, and let the fun begin! The jewel in the Shakespeare comedy crown is set to take you on a riotous ride through the hilariously interwoven worlds of Lovers, Fairies and Fools.  See the gardens lit up at night, glowing and sparkling beyond your wildest imaginings while you reel with laughter as you witness the comedy that is A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Bring a friend (or bring the whole family) to a brand new production of this clever, classic comedy that’s set to entertain all ages.

**Gold Class Experience now available – have a reserved place with all the trimmings waiting for you!
