Theatre Works presents
Red Sky Morning
By Tom Holloway
A powerful and poetic story about family, silence, and finding hope in the everyday.
A woman, a man, and a girl live under the same roof, and over the course of one day, their stories unfold. Revealing love, regret, and the quiet hope that things might get better, Red Sky Morning expertly crafts a world where life in the country is steeped in beauty, but also brutal honesty.
Tom Holloway’s award-winning script, Red Sky Morning, captures the heart of regional Australia; the early mornings, the long silences, the unspoken care that holds families together. With sharp wit and tender honesty, it reflects the challenges and strengths of small-town life, where connection is both fragile and essential. Playing for a limited season at the Theatre Works Acland Street venue, don’t miss the chance to catch this iconic work brought to life by a remarkable team
Directed by Lyall Brooks and presented by Theatre Works as a part of their 2026 By Theatre Works programming, this production of Red Sky Morning will also tour to regional Victoria from the 26th to the 30th of May. Further information is available on the Theatre Works website.
